(More customer reviews)Tasty bites are simple to prepare, pack well, and taste great. The first time I ordered tasty bites, I got one of each to try. The second time I ordered, I got half Bombay Potatoes and half other things, but from then on out, I get all Bombay Potatoes because they are simply the best. The meat dishes are OK, but not really that great and have green beans in them, which I find annoying.
At home, I like to cook Bombay Potatoes in the microwave in a corning dish for two minutes, mixed in with hot sausages. "Little Smokies" are perfect. Then I serve it over Basmati rice and it is just excellent.
Since they come in metal vacuum-packed pouches, they are also perfect for backpacking and camping. Just throw the boxes away when you're at home and only take the pouches with you. Just boil a pot of water and put the metallic packet in the boiling water for two minutes. You can fry up some sausages to mix in and eat it all with tortillas or pita bread. The metallic packaging is flammable, so you don't have to pack it back out with you.
While the rest of the Tasty Bite product line is OK, I find the Bombay Potatoes, called Alu Chole in Indian restaurants, to be better or as good as anything I find in any Indian restaurant I've been to. And I like Indian food.
