(More customer reviews)When it comes to snacking I am much more of a fan of "salty, crispy" things than of "sweets." And I readily devour many kinds of crunchy snacks, including Pringles brand products. I like Pringles Potato Crisps Super Stack, Original, 6.41-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 14), PRINGLES SUPER SOUR CREAM/ONO, Pringles Potato Crisps, Barbecue, 5.75-Ounce Packages (Pack of 14), Pringles Potato Crisps Super Stack, Cheddar Cheese, 6.38-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 14), etc., etc., etc.
Normally I laugh to myself when I read the serving sizes on packages of salty, crispy snacks. For example, a can of Pringles states that it contains something like 6 servings. Who are they kidding!? The serving size of Pringles is the entire can!
I recently, however, tried Pringles Potato Crisps Super Stack Restaurant Cravers, Onion Blossom chips, and I was, I have to admit, quite disappointed...this was the first time I recall ever being let down by Pringles brand chips. I know that the basic idea is to try to get the same flavor, etc., as an onion blossom appetizer...but, well it just didn't work for me.
I tried this new Pringles flavor for the first time a couple of days ago, and an unheard of total of about 4 chips was plenty for me. The flavor and aftertaste was not a good match for my taste buds. I didn't want to leave it at that though, so I decided to try them again, and tonight I had another few, and, sadly, another 2 or 3 chips were plenty. I just didn't want any more. Normally one sample of a snack like this leaves me wanting more, but not Pringles' Onion Blossom.
I wanted to like them. I tried to like them (twice), but they just didn't work for me. The tasted kind of flat with an unpleasant aftertaste. So, again, sadly, I have to admit that I just don't like them. I don't hate them, but if there is any other snack around, these would be at the bottom of my list.
I hope your experience is better than mine, but as for me...
...2 stars... more is the pitty.
