(More customer reviews)One of the newer flavors, Smokin' Hot Ranch has the same great crispy texture and crunch as other Pringles flavors, and while it's certainly peppery, it's just not very ranchy. The chips are dusted around the edge with a dark red chipotle pepper powder that you can clearly see. They give the chips a nice little kick. I wouldn't say it's "Extreme" though -- it didn't set my tongue on fire and have me screaming towards a glass of water. It's just an overused marketing term. It's more like "Mild".
As for the ranch part of the equation, this is where Pringles really misses the mark. The pepper flavor is very pronounced and completely overpowers the ranch. I couldn't detect any ranch flavor at all in fact. It just tastes like spicy BBQ sauce. Still a good tasting snack, but Pringles needs to do some re-tuning on this recipe in order to deliver on the ranch part of the description.
