(More customer reviews)We get the 4 oz. packets of Idahoan Buttery Yukon Gold at Meier for a little more than a buck apiece, and they taste wonderful. The other flavors are great too. The consistency is about as good as you get with an instant potato product -- no potato mix will have the same texture as homemade -- but they taste real.
And this has been an absolute time saver.
We had preemie twins (one with some health issues) and some days I have ABSOLUTELY NO TIME to cook even a simple meal from scratch. These potatoes are as easy as a few minutes with a microwave, and my husband and 4 year old son just gobble this up.
(The 4 oz. packets are good to feed four people -- three if you like large helpings. I guess the 16.5 oz. units would be for larger family gatherings.)
