I've had the original peeler for over 8 years and it's still just as sharp as ever. I HIGHLY recommend this ceramic peeler to anyone looking to replace their steel bladed peeler. It's well worth the extra money in superior performance that never seems to end. Just a tip: The ceramic blade is very hard but can be chipped if impacted with other utensils or hard surfaces. I recommend washing and storing it separately for years of trouble free performance.
