(More customer reviews)Friends gave me one of these as a present (different brand). My first thought: can I get one that is made of undyed cotton, preferably organic? I have to agree with the last poster about using it for potatoes. That never occurred to me. What would be the point? However, these bags are a great way to prepare a serving or so of cauliflower, broccoli, greens, carrots, or such. An undyed bag would be stained easily by colorful vegetables, but who cares; at least you would know they were stained by something non-toxic. The first thing I cooked in mine was purple cauliflower which came out perfect. Most things I've cooked in the bag came out well, however, I didn't have luck with green beans; they lost some of their nice green color before even getting fully cooked. I don't feel comfortable cooking my vegetables straight in the bag without a liner, so I line the bag with natural baking paper (as I do when I warm tortillas in my similarly designed tortilla warmer), but I don't want to have to spend money on baking paper in order to use mine. I'm replacing it and my tortilla warmer.
