(More customer reviews)About 30 years ago I purchased a Tru Temper, 5 tine potato hook and found it to be the greatest home gardening tool I had ever used. The shape of the tines, the pitch fork handle were just right for turning the soil, sorting out the clods and stones and general getting the ground ready for what ever.
Sadly, this past summer, I broke my faithful tool and replaced it with the current version. How disappointing. The handle has no shape, the tines are not parallel to one another, the tines are shorter and the shape just not quite at the right angle to the ground. Generally, the tool has been dumbed down and cheapened. I would have rather paid more and got a quality tool.
But with all the disappointment, it is better than not having one. However, if Tru Temper or any other garden tool maker ever comes up with one like the old one. I will be first in line to buy one.
