(More customer reviews)I was a bit disappointed with this item. The product description made me think that it was made in France, but it isn't, it's a generic Chinese product, according to the box. That said, it works OK, but I wish it were larger and, now that I've used it, it had holes on all 4 sides, as opposed to 2. I imagine that the cheaper alternatives would do the job just as well as this one, if not, perhaps, better. Using it to mash some potatoes in their skins, some of the potato came back behind the presser, and did not pass through the holes. I suspect that this wouldn't have happened if they'd been peeled, but it did a pretty good job, considering they weren't. Finally, it does seem quite solid.
