My second was a back and forth style (not grid)and didn't produce good results, and finally, I purchased the Cuisipro Potato Masher. I love the shape and how easy it is to handle. I love the handle being horizontal which gives you great leverage. This hangs on my pot rack which is handy to grab when needed. It produces great mashed potatoes.
